Every hotel I've ever checked into requires a drivers license or ID that has my home address on it. How do you get around that. They also usually make me fill out a card which I could put a fake address on but it wouldn't match that on my DL. Any suggestions?

Not a dumb question at all Jerry. Most hotels are not usually rented by the hour and someone checking out after an hour or so is somewhat odd. That being said, as long as you've paid for the room for the day, the hotel won't care if you leave after a short time. They've got your money and now they can flip the room right away and make money again on the same room on the same day. Great deal for them.

If they ask, you can always say that you've got a flight to catch or whatever reason you'd like. Chances are they'll just ask if there was anything wrong with the room, to make sure they didn't do something wrong. Make sure if they do say anything, don't go back to that hotel!

Motels are a better bet, as they are often open to cash and no credit card trail. If you must use a hotel, call ahead and see if you can rent a room without a credit cash but with a cash deposit. Many will do that now a days.

What ever you do, don't use your real name or address to register and if you can, cash only!

I know this is kind of a dumb question, but it's my first time and i'm still trying to understand know as much as i can.
My question is when i use a hotel (and we are only going to be ther for a few hours) do i just check out that same day and the hotel staff won't give me any stress? ( i will pay the normal rate of course but.....is that a normal thing that i shouldn't feel nervous about?
