• If the clothing is something that is dry-clean only or otherwise unwashable, cover the stain with moist baking soda, and add a little more water on top. Let it sit on the lipstick stain for ten minutes and then wash it out with cold water.

• Apply some laundry detergent or stain remover to the lipstick stain and allow it to soak for as long as you can. If the stain is set in or heavy, allow the stain remover to soak in overnight if possible

• Wash the item according to the label’s instructions. Repeat if the stain remains.

• Bring the garment to a professional dry cleaner if you can’t remove the stain.

• Go to a coin laundrymat before you go home and wash it a few times. Be liberal with your detergent use and make sure to rub some soap right in to the lipstick stain itself.

If none of these methods work to remove the lipstick stain from your clothes after your secret encounter, then you should consider throwing the peice of clothing out. While you don’t want to come home with a brand-new, out of the bag shirt, you could always go to a used clothing store and pick one up, or, buy another shirt, stop by a laundrymat and wash it a few times before going home.
