Cheating? Having an affair? Here are ways you CAN get caught!

• Not covering your tracks well enough.
You need to cover your tracks when cheating. From having an airtight affair alibi to making sure to use WinClear if you are using your home pc, not hiding your affair properly will get you caught cheating. Take care to look in the following areas for evidence of your affairs, coat and pants pockets, purses, briefcases or vehicles. Be sure to remove obvious items that belong to a woman/man or are from unfamiliar hotels, restaurants or night clubs. Check the passenger car seat—did you adjust the seat for your lover? Look for items left behind in the car such as: lipstick, lipstick or make-up marked tissue, hair pins, paper with unfamiliar information, pen, glasses or other items that don’t belong to either you or your significant other.
• Going to your secret lover’s home.
Never go to your lover’s home (unless they are completely single and free from the ties of marriage and/or a serious relationship.) If they get caught by their significant other, chances are your spouse will also find out. If you plan on travelling to meet your lover, you’ll want to check the mileage on the odometer and make sure your alibi covers the distance you had to travel.
• Calling your new companion from your home phone and/or your cell phone.
Since you don’t want your lover’s number to appear on your cell phone history or call display or phone records, make all calls to your lover from work or payphones. It’s a hassle but will prevent you from getting caught cheating. Getting a new or another cell phone is also good, but make sure to hide it well and keep the ringer(including vibrate) off. Don’t hide this secret cell phone in obvious places like your purse, briefcase, pocket, car trunk, car compartments, under the seat, or behind the visor. Hide it at work, in the garage, in the air vents, somewhere where it won’t be found.
• Giving your new friend your home phone number or real name.
Always use an alias for your affairs. When responding to personal ads or creating online dating ads, make sure to create a whole new identity that mirrors you, except the details are changed enough to not identify you. Your occupation, your name, your neighbourhood all need to be different that actual so you don’t get caught.
• Not keeping a low profile when you are out with your lover.
You would be surprised how many people know you and/or your spouse, who unbeknownst to you may see you lavishing inappropriate attention on your new companion in public. If you are going to have an overnight or hotel encounter, drive at least 75 miles away from your residence. Driving such a distance might arouse suspicion, so make sure you already have a valid reason to be staying overnight or driving so far.
• Secret dating without a schedule.
Try to set up a regular schedule of ‘dates’ with your lover. If your spouse expects you to be out of town for business overnight every Wednesday, he/she will not suspect anything when you maintain this schedule and include your new friend in your overnight stays. Make sure you don’t change the way you go out on your dates. Don’t carry new clothes. Don’t stop complaining about having to go out again. Don’t start getting nervous or excited before you go. Make sure you don’t bring anything new home from your date.
• You become confident in your ability to deceive your spouse
The longer your affair lasts, the more likely you will get comfortable and forget that your affair is supposed to be “secret love affair”. Make sure to keep following the steps needed to hide your cheating.
• You tell your friend(s) about your affair.
Make sure you don’t tell a soul about your affair, including your best friend(s). All it takes is for one of them to tell someone else and before long, you’ll be confronted. Also, make sure nothing changes about your behaviour at work or at home.
• Making promises to your lover.
Make sure you don’t make promises you can’t keep to your lover. Don’t tell your secret lover that you are going to leave your husband or wife for them, unless you really are. Most affairs don’t result in new marriages/long term relationships with the lover, but that doesn’t stop people from making promises. False promises will quickly lead to bitterness and the desire for your secret lover to wreck your marriage, just so they can have you to themselves.

-They are frequently gone longer than stated.

-They are more difficult to reach by phone.
